I was so pleased that I posted the following on Facebook: Upper Bay Frame and Gallery did a beautiful job printing, matting, and framing the top and left photos of my father, and printing & matting the 6x6 square photo on the bottom. Using the vintage magician collection from Michaels Stores, and the pieces from Upper Bay, I’ve created my favorite, but also most sentimental vignette for this year’s Halloween decor. P.s.: peep the black spider hanging beneath the photos of my dad, and the little rubber bat hanging from the attic door. They are the last pieces I have from my dad, who gave me my love for Halloween.

This frame shop is top-notch! It was a great experience from start to finish. Superb staff - Chris and Melissa. I had several pieces framed that called for many detailed cuts. I had an original graphite drawing I needed framed and Upper Bay gave me exactly what I wanted even though I didn’t quite know what I wanted when I came into the shop. It truly enhances the work. I have just picked up five pieces which Upper Bay framed. I could not be more pleased! First, a sepia-toned photo of my great-uncle, which barely survived age and a hurricane, was restored with all the original details. For the second, Melissa downloaded a fresh copy of a black and white photo of my great-uncle from the Library of Congress. She was able to enhance the darkest areas to show texture without affecting the light areas. Melissa and Marilyn took time to help me choose frames that went well with the individual photos but also showed their connection. The third piece is a NASA retirement poster with signatures to the very edge. Melissa suggested a second mat that framed the poster without losing a single bit of anyone's comments. Another NASA photograph with a NASA patch attached was framed well despite not being flat. Again, time was taken to choose frames that went along with previously framed NASA photos. The fifth piece was a small handwritten poem with a hand painted watercolor frame around it. Melissa and Marilyn matched this delicate old piece with mat and frame. In addition, Melissa suggested painting the narrow interior bevel of the mat which brought out color from the original watercolor. It takes trust to leave family heirlooms or personal items for someone to frame. My trust in Upper Bay was well-deserved. Thank you.
