We came across Koyo after I googled looking for sushi places in my area. I had never heard of Koyo before. This place is so good and the sushi is fresh. We ordered the scallop crudo and edamame to start. The crudo was so good I forgot to take photos of everything else. I was just too excited to eat everything. We had the 5 hand roll set, brown butter enoki mushroom, spicy tuna, and eel rolls. Everything was top notch. We also ordered the flight of 4 sauces. Our favorite were the chili oil crisp and the ponzu mayo. It’s bar seating only and I’m short, so the only thing I would change is adding a bar at the bottom of the chairs or bar to be able to rest feet. Food, atmosphere, service were all 10/10. My husband and I want to become regulars here. I’m so happy we have this option in our area now. We have only ever been able to eat at these types of restaurants in Houston.

The food was fresh and quality. Customer service attentive and nice. I ordered a special roll of the month: Lobster with brown butter. Also, the spicy scallop roll. Both were very flavorful and delicious. Enjoyed with a cold beer. It is a different seating set up sitting at the bar but it was cool to sit up close and watch our food being perfectly prepared.

Come here great prices! The only thing missing is a cocktail menu, they do have a few drinks there. The layout of the inside was bar like similar to other hand roll places. They don’t have dessert but they are near dessert spots. I actually really enjoyed their rolls the seaweed wrap was crunchy and the inside was warm and you could taste each individual flavors inside the roll. I tried the 5 roll set Salmon ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fatty tuna ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ melts in your mouth with the right amount of flavors Crab ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ thick and meaty Spicy scallop ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ loved that you could get that hint of spicy from the seasoning Yellowtail ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I tried the yellowtail crudo in ponzu sauce Salmon crudo in mayo based sauce and tuna crudo in chili oil. The yellowtail crudo was my favorite. The ponzu sauce really brightened the dish with a hint of lemon zest. The salmon crudo was my least favorite only because it was a thicker sauce and heavier so it overpowered the salmons flavor. The tuna crudo was pretty good though I wonder if they could blend the ponzu sauce with the chili oil and it would’ve kicked it up a notch. I also tried the lobster roll which was not the typical one from the menu I tried the butter lobster. That one was my second favorite.. you could taste the quality of the lobster. They drizzle the butter on top and wrap it up. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Exceptionally delicious sushi! This was my husband and I first time there and we loved it. We went in for lunch, easy to get seated, quick service and the rolls were so good. The fish was very fresh and the seaweed was very crunchy. Definitely recommend the lobster roll and the strawberry Soda. I wish I had more but I didn’t wanna roll out! Lol.

We've been coming here since their soft opening back in June of 2025 and have kept coming back since (the first visit was so good that we literally came back the next day)! The handrolls are delicious, the space is tastefully designed, and everyone on the Koyo team is so fun to be around. We always have such a great time dining in, no matter what time of day it is. The consistency in service and food quality has never wavered and it's also nice to see that the menu has grown since their early days. I've tried almost every handroll on the menu at this point and while they're all tasty and unique in their own ways, I'd have to say my favorites are the salmon, yellowtail, and enoki. If you're a sushi lover, I'd strongly recommend adding Koyo to your rotation!
