Butler's Courtyard
First built in 1909 and located in the heart of the historic district, this property was once the location of League City’s first bank, and was the city's first brick building. Since then, the building has seen many businesses come and go including a post office, café, hardware store, drug store, and residential apartments. In fact, you can still step inside the original vault from its days as a bank. Only recently in the building’s long history has its antique appeal served as a stunning backdrop for momentous occasions, private events, and nuptial celebrations.

Danielle WilsonOverall I'd say our experience with Butlers was a good one. It's a very beautiful venue and perfect for smaller weddings like ours (under 100 people). Pricing was reasonable in comparison to other venues and is all inclusive so they provide the chairs, tables, linens, select decor and give you a list of vendors to pick from. While it might have been cheaper to outsource other vendors I actually really liked that they gave us an option of using DJ A or DJ B, using X for cakes and using florist A or B. Wedding planning can get overwhelming with all these options that being restricted to two actually takes a lot of stress off you. Our guests seemed to enjoy our wedding and said it was very pretty and that they loved the Butlers staff. Our day of coordinator Sarah was amazing. My only complaint is that Butlers was not very communicative in the beginning stages of planning. In hindsight it makes sense but it was a little frustrating at the time. KeiraWords cannot describe how beautiful, vibrant, quaint, and secluded this venue truly is for the League City and surrounding Houston area! Being a League city photographer locally, I naturally love this area and coming here for the Garcia's wedding day was a dream come true! From the spacious reception hall, to the fun & vintage bride & groom's suite, to the options for the ceremony space; it just cannot get better than Butler's Courtyard! The cleanliness and care that has put into this venue can be seen from a mile away; they really have put so much effort into creating a welcoming space overall and it shows! I enjoyed photographing here recently for C & S' wedding and cannot wait to be back here in the near future!! 🤍💒

From the moment we walked in for our tour, we felt welcomed. One of the things we appreciated most was their “all-inclusive” approach, which made the planning process so much smoother. They not only provided the venue but also recommended trusted vendors, helping us confidently make decisions on everything from colors to overall design. It took so much pressure off the more tedious parts of planning and allowed us to actually enjoy the experience. Throughout the entire process, the team was responsive, supportive, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Our coordinator, Sarah, was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond for both us and our families. She made the entire journey feel seamless and ensured our wedding day was as beautiful and perfect as we had imagined. Looking back, Austin and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will always cherish the memories from that day. Thank you, Butler’s Courtyard, for everything.

Nina CervantesOur wedding was more perfect than we ever could have imagined and I am beyond grateful to the incredible team at Butler’s Courtyard for that! We’d originally planned to have our ceremony on-board a Disney cruise but had to cancel last minute for medical reasons; we were crushed. But, Amy and the staff at Butler’s Courtyard helped us put together an even more beautiful celebration of our love — and all within HOURS. We came in to tour the venue on a Thursday and were married on SUNDAY! We even got to keep our original wedding date! Now, I can’t imagine having been married anywhere else! Absolutely everything FAR exceeded our expectations and the team truly made our day a special one. We are so thankful for every effort made by Amy and the entire staff and would HIGHLY recommend Butler’s Courtyard to anyone looking for a dreamy, romantic wedding ceremony! 🩷

Merry S MasonI have been to Butler's Courtyard several times as a guest a smaller parties, like birthdays and graduations and it has always been so nice. But we just hosted a 200+ banquet there, and I cannot recommend them enough. It was elegant and beautiful, but what puts it over the top is the staff. Shawna is so easy to work with, and made everything so effortless. The staff, especially Eli, Megan, and Allie, were so helpful. From start to finish they took such good care of us. If you are looking for the perfect venue, no matter how big or small use them, you will be totally happy that you did.
