Lisa ContrerasThis cafe is great inside...dont let the outside fool you. Quaint atmosphere with delicious fresh food. I had the Italian sandwich and my lunch partner had the homemade frito pie. By the time I took a photo she had demolished it! Lol Drinks iced mocha and dirty chia...delicious!!!

Ruben CardenasCofee was amazing. I had a cappuccino and Almond croissant. The croissant could use a little more almond butter but was still good. Place was awesome. Lots of seating places. Highly recommend. My buddies had an expresso, protein drink, and a pastry. They enjoyed it as well. Wish we would have found on day 1 of our trip. Staff was awesome.

Renee GriffinLa Mer Cafe is one of Kemah’s hidden gems and my absolute go-to spot when I’m craving a great pastry and coffee. Their muffins are hands-down some of the best I’ve ever had—especially the pistachio and blueberry ones. I once brought a box to share with coworkers, and they absolutely raved about them. My personal favorite treat is their warm, fluffy, lightly powdered sugar-sprinkled almond croissant paired with a rich, perfectly crafted cortado. It’s the kind of combination that turns an ordinary morning into something special. Beyond the food and drinks, the atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. The cafe is cozy, welcoming, and feels like a place where neighbors gather. They even have a beautifully decorated space in the back that can be reserved for group gatherings, making it a wonderful community spot. What truly sets La Mer Cafe apart is the family behind it. Owners Alexa and Brian Byrom always greet me with a smile and make every visit feel personal. It’s also great to see their son, Jackson, helping at the counter. That family-owned warmth shines through in everything they do. Kemah is fortunate to have a place like La Mer Cafe. Whether you’re stopping in for coffee, a pastry, breakfast, or simply a friendly atmosphere, this cafe is a blessing to our community. TNCute cafe with many different pastries and breakfast items. The staff was very friendly and polite. The coffee I give 4 stars. It has a good flavour but was a bit weak for my preference. The pistachio pastry we had was super dry and not pleasant to eat. The taste was okay, but the dryness took away from the flavour profile and we couldn’t eat it. We were a couple miles away from the cafe by the time we tried it otherwise we would have returned it and tried something else. Always nice o try independent cafes instead of large chains.

Nikkisha FevrierI visited this place for the first time today and I was not disappointed. Everything in set up so nicely, the names of all the products have a vibe to it. The customer service was excellent and the food was phenomenal. I was so happy with the my experience that I was excited to come back even before leaving!!!
