John RamboThe prices and service is unreal here. Everything was amazing. Our server (I think his name was Jake) was super nice and really took his time with us. The alligator bites were the best I’ve ever had, and I’m from Florida. My wife loved the rice which is rare from here. They actually have an alligator in a tank in the restaurant which my son thought was cool. I will absolutely go back when visiting that area.

John AinsworthCrazy Alan’s Swamp Shack near the Kemah marina is definitely an interesting spot with a great setup. The highlight of the visit was easily the service. Dallen was fantastic—Johnny on the spot, super attentive, and made sure everything kept moving smoothly. As for the menu, the Gator Cajun Etouffee hit the spot, and it pairs great with a couple of Voodoo Hazies. The only major miss was the made-from-scratch cheesecake. Honestly, it was awful—they really need to trash that recipe and start over. That said, the atmosphere and service make it worth returning. I’ll definitely be back once the weather cools off!

Nikki PlataCame here for a date night and it did not disappoint! They had a live band and some interestingly named cocktails with ice cream that were very good! We ordered the fried calamari for an appetizer. It had a very light Cajun kick and was good. We ordered the fried catfish and shrimp special and a grilled platter. The shrimp, fried and grilled were good. The grilled red fish, hush puppies, French fries and onion rings were also good. The actual cat fish itself was a little mushy, but it was freshly fried. My husband got the fried okra, he said it was good. We got the garlic potatoes and they were so freaking delicious. We will be going back, definitely want to try more food and have some more drinks!
