The woman working there was very kind, she gave me a tour and even went in the back to find extra pictures when I told her I was interested in Texan oxen. Very interesting to see how the breed developed from how it was in the 1800s to where it is today.
Mar 9, 2026 · Google ReviewI visited this museum today with a senior bus trip. I received a senior discount, thereby I paid $13. It was well worth the price. The curator was very knowledgeable about the artifacts and gave us a huge amount of information about the history of Texas Loghorns. We watched a 15 minute video about Texas Loghorns and life for Longhorns in the 1800s as well as today. The video and additional information was interesting and shed some knowledge on historical events.
Aug 7, 2026 · Google ReviewThis museum is WONDERFUL!!!! Growing up in Galveston County, it was very neat to hear the history of League City, early settlers, the Chisolm Trail and to learn all about the Texas Longhorn and the Butler family! I highly recommend, we were there for two hours. I could have stayed for another hour easy, so many artifacts and history! Our tour guide was fabulous and he was so knowledgeable about the Longhorns and gave a great presentation throughout the tour!
Mar 19, 2021 · Google ReviewThis is definitely one of my favorite parks. It's the Butler Longhorn Museum in League City and I've been coming here for about 20 years. It's got a pond put a small island in the middle with an outlet that leads to Clear Creek. It's got a jungle gym and playground for the kids and a beautiful garden on the side of the mansion. They do wedding receptions and events here they also have an art gallery on the third floor of the mansion. There's fishing and plenty of wildlife in the water as well as a ton of beautiful flowers and plants. There's a small grapefruit Orchard on the side as well as an outdoor kitchen and barbecue setup. This one is a must visit. It's great for the adults and the children alike. The park is always clean and well-kept there is plenty of parking and picnic areas with tables and benches. And you can't miss the beautiful view of the water. I highly recommend this are cats one of my personal favorites.
