Fall Events

One of the biggest highlights of the season is the Wings Over Houston Airshow, where visitors can witness breathtaking aerial performances and military aircraft displays. Families can join in the fun at League City’s Harvest Fest and EcoFest, two free community celebrations featuring local vendors, entertainment, and kid-friendly activities. Every Wednesday evening, you can even catch the excitement of weekly Clear Lake sailboat races, a favorite local tradition.

Fall in League City also means festive celebrations inspired by global traditions. At King’s Bierhaus Oktoberfest, guests can enjoy authentic German food, live music, and fun contests. Just down the road, the Kemah Boardwalk transforms for the season with Boo on the Boardwalk, offering everything from haunted houses and spooky mazes to trick-or-treating for kids. The boardwalk also hosts a vibrant Día de los Muertos celebration, complete with cultural performances, colorful décor, and family-friendly fun.

History lovers will enjoy exploring League City’s roots in the Historic District and League Park, a downtown treasure since the early 1900s. Those looking for a spooky adventure can join the Murder & Mayhem Walkabouts, guided tours that uncover eerie crime stories from the past, or visit the Fairview Cemetery, home to historic gravestones and fascinating legends. For a lighter evening, enjoy live music under the oaks during the free monthly concerts hosted by the League City Folk Association and the League City Historical Society.

Fall Migration

League City is part of the Texas Gulf Coast Birding Trail, making fall the perfect time for birdwatching. During migration season, thousands of songbirds, waterfowl, and raptors pass through the region on their journey south.
