We drove nearly an hour and a half just to try Aokicho, and it was worth every single mile. This was hands down some of the best sushi I’ve had anywhere in the United States. The flavors were rich, bold, and perfectly balanced — each bite exploded with class and culture. Every roll, every slice, every sample made us feel like we were sitting in Tokyo rather than near Houston. What made the experience even more special is that the shop is run by a mother and son — truly inspiring to see family working together at such a high level. Tonight we even had the privilege of having the owner behind the cutting block, which elevated the entire experience. You can taste the pride, precision, and passion in every dish. If you’re anywhere in Houston and appreciate authentic, high-quality sushi, this is an absolute must-try spot. Shout out to our server Cody he did great! We will definitely be back.

I discovered a true gem with Aokicho. One of the things I appreciate most about this restaurant is that it gives you two great options: you can order à la carte or enjoy their all-you-can-eat experience. However, this is far from the typical AYCE restaurant. From the moment you walk in, the restaurant feels exceptionally clean, modern, and inviting. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is outstanding. A special mention goes to Liam, who was incredibly patient, attentive, and willing to take the time to explain the menu and dishes to guests, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food is on another level. Unlike many all-you-can-eat establishments that rely on self-service bars, where food is often mishandled, wasted, or piled excessively onto plates, Aokicho takes a different approach. Every dish is prepared to order and brought directly to your table. You can order anything from the menu without sacrificing quality or presentation. What truly impressed me was the consistency. Every dish arrived beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor. Great care goes into both the preparation and presentation of the food. If you are looking for an all-you-can-eat experience that prioritizes quality, cleanliness, service, and flavor, Aokicho is well worth a visit. I highly recommend it.

Wow! Wow! Wow! As soon as I walked in I was met with great hospitality and was in awe of the decorations! The cute servers Rafa and Luca were so kind to me and my friend and never left us waiting too long for our food! I highly recommend the Texas roll as Rafa suggested it was one of the best rolls here. I am very satisfied with the service, food quality, and the decorations. 10/10!

We really enjoyed our meal. The service was good, the place had a nice vibe, and it was clean. Food service was a bit slow during busy times, but that's totally understandable. We want to give a shout-out to all the chefs and staff. We'll definitely be back.

You know I never give out 5 stars ,but this place truly deserves them! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Honestly, it’s one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. I highly recommend trying the all-you-can-eat option so you can experience as much of the menu as possible. The food quality is consistently excellent, no matter how many times I visit. The staff are always friendly, the service is great, and the cleanliness is absolutely perfect. I’ve been here plenty of times, and they never disappoint! If you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
