A Local Art Affair

Celebrate the arts and history in downtown League City! Wear your white to beat the heat, and stroll the streets of the historic district while enjoying live music, artists at work, and local food & drinks.

Art. Music. Food. Wine. Fun.

White Linen Night pays homage to the centuries-old New Orleans tradition of wearing white clothes while socializing outdoors in the summer heat. This event is all about celebrating the arts and history in League City’s Historic District. It’s completely free, and open to people of all ages to come and enjoy art, food, and music. Wear your white linen and bring your friends and family for a fun evening of culture beneath League City’s majestic oak trees.

When and where is White Linen Night?

League City’s 2025 White Linen Night: An Art Affair event is on Saturday, June 14 in the League City Historic District—from League Park (off FM 518) east to the League City Historical Society Museum at 2nd Street and N. Kansas Ave. Booths and food trucks will be stationed along the side streets throughout this area. The event begins at 4 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m.

Art! There will be plenty of art, including live art demonstrations, live music, and nearly 100 artist booths displaying and selling their work. Houston Art Cars will be showing off some of their most unique vehicles, and there will also be an art-focused “Kid Zone” in League Park with guided activities like abstract watercolors, tissue paper flower-making, silk screening, mini-kite building, and rock painting. Kid Zone activities will be overseen by teachers and students from the University of Houston-Clear Lake Art School.

Parking will not be allowed at the parking lots located in League Park and will be extremely limited in lots in the Historic District.

Free parking is available at League City Elementary (520 East Walker Street). Shuttle buses will run from 4 to 8 p.m. from the City Municipal Complex (300 West Walker Street) and ACU of Texas (1095 W League City Parkway).

Yes! While you stroll the event, grab a bite to eat from one of 10 food trucks and enjoy several options for beer, wine, and cider.

There will be free water bottles available throughout the event, along with several cooling stations. Also, be sure to wear your white linen to keep cool while you’re outside.

Book your stay at one of our local hotels, conveniently located between Houston and Galveston, in the heart of the Bay Area. League City also has several Airbnb and VRBO options nearby.
