With the recent opening of Lubbock-based Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant, famous for its authentic made from scratch Mexican cuisine, and Salata’s introduction of a new logo and first-ever wine on tap at the League City location in Pinnacle Park, League City is attracting major interest and development from mid to high-end restaurateurs.

Salata’s grand opening, scheduled for Thursday, July 26, marks the first phase of Salata’s rebrand with the debut of a new logo and wine on tap with selections of red, white, and rose wines to partner with their customizable, tossed-to-order salads and wraps from a selection of more than 50 fresh ingredients. Twenty-five percent of first day net sales will benefit the nearby Perry Family YMCA.

Pinnacle Park, located along I-45 south between League City Parkway and FM 646, adjacent to the Big League Dreams Sports Park and Cabela’s, features other recent additions to the burgeoning food scene, including Pizza Fire and Coco’s Crepes, Waffles, and Coffee with longtime Galveston eatery Olympia Grill coming soon.

As chefs and foodies have started finding a foothold in League City, so has the live music scene. Local bars and restaurants such as Hugh & Jeff’s Car Grill, La Brisa’s Mexican Bar & Grill, and Scotty’s Pub on the Bay are featuring weekly live music events that are adding to the entertainment opportunities for those living and visiting the Bay Area Houston. Other music scene contributors include South Shore Harbour Resort, Red River Bar-B-Que, Chuck’s Sports Bar, and League City’s Easy Street.

Just in the last month, artists such as The Max, Hattrick, Geoff Fish, Texas TNT, The Band Hennessy, the Mambo Jazz Kings and many more have brought their sweet sounds south of the lake. For more information on upcoming artists click here to check out what’s happening in the area.
